It was used by a carcollector (only on weekends during the spring and summer) topick up cases of wine for himself and his wife, at the local vineyards,here on Long Island, New York. He was very meticulous withall his vehicles, so this truck was professionally prepared then storedduring the winter months and kept in a climatecontrolled environment with his impressive collection ofrather expensive vehicles and exotic sport cars. The engine compartment looks almost brand new, as does the undercarriage and frame. I see no rust whatsoever on the inside of the fenders and fenderwells. Idid install an expensive (heavy Sailcloth material) ´no drill´ bedcoverto givethe truck that finished look. The new Monroe shocks wereinstalled late last year. Thebed was professionally sprayed with Line-X bedliner by the previousowner and looks brand-new. I don´t think anything was everloaded in the bed besides a few cases of wine. The interiorlooks unused, with NO odd odors or stains. The radio is allstock and the dash is in great condition with NO cracks ordiscoloration. I even have the original Chevrolet floor matsthat were never installed, that goes with the truck. Thepaint is all original (I was told) and has a wonderful luster. NO peeling or defects. There are a few veryminor scratches and two small dings but overall, this truck looksbeautiful. The chrome as well as the other hardware also looks great andall works as it should. The wheels are the original forgedaluminumChevrolet rims and still have the factory clear-coat intact (neverdriven on salted roads) and lookinggreat. It comes with a full sized spare that has never hitthe road. The truck has recently been serviced with all majorcomponentslooked over by a certified mechanic; everything (Clutch, Transmission,Engine, 4-Wheel DriveSystem, Charging System, AC, Heater, Radio, Electric Windows etc)checked out A-OK andworked as it should. The engine is very strong and sounds GREAT with NO ticks, smoke or oddsounds. The transmission is a heavy duty 5-speed unit (yes afive-speed) thatshifts smooth and true. It has a dual range four-wheel drive systemwithautomatic hubs, that worked perfectly when tested. There areno leaks that I have seen; everything looks dry underneath. When you drive this truck, you get the feeling that you´re driving anewvehicle; it´s VERY solid. The completely stock, unmodified5.7 coupled with the 5-speedtransmission really gives this truck some serious go-power. Theexhaust system was upgraded by the previous owner, so this truck soundsas good as it looks. Nothing too loud or obnoxious just anice V8 rumble. It actuallygetspretty good gas mileage (25 + MPG) when drivenconservatively. This is a very rare truck because of the engine andtransmission combination. As already mentioned, it has a 5.7liter,350-cubic-inch engine with a 5-speed transmission. I ran theVIN number and found that there was only one other truck made in 1994that hadthe exact same options, so it´s very unlikely you´ll come acrossanotherone of these beasts.Thistruck has always been garaged and even has a car-cover that goes withthe truck.
