Just testing the waters here. I have a project truck that I have been working on for the last year, and have for the most part, lost interest in finishing it. The truck is a 1980 short bed 4 x 4. I purchased three different trucks in order to get the parts that I wanted. The cab was originally a 1980 2wd cab. The frame is a 1977 short bed 4 x 4. The drivetrain with the exception of the engine is from a 1980 3/4 ton 4 x 4. So combined, it is a shortbed 4 x 4 with a 14 bolt full floater, a 10 bolt 8 lug up front, a 205 transfer case, a th350, with less than 10,000 miles on it, and that is connected to a 2005 5.3 litre out of a tahoe. Now, on to the good stuff. I took off all of the injection stuff, and replaced it with a brand new ls1 carb intake set-up. As far as the body goes, it is for all intents brand new. The following parts are brand new: cab corners, inner and outer rockers, front cab mounts, floor pans, right side bedside, right side door, inner fenders, outer fenders, hood, and tailgate. Most of these parts came from Keystone, and the rest of them came from Goodmark. Like I said, the truck is pretty much brand new metal. The bottom of the cab, as well as the entire frame has had por-15 applied to it. The body is sitting on new poly mounts. The body from the firewall back has been blocked twice, and is ready for color. The firewall, the engine, and the transmission have already been painted. The color is 2003 Nissan 350 Z ´ daytona blue´. Google the color, it really is a beautiful metallic blue. The blue engine looks incredible trimmed out with the 2011 Camaro ´silver ice metallic´. As far as suspension goes, the truck stands approx. 7´ 6´ tall. It is sitting on 6´ springs in the front, and I replaced the rear shackles with the flip kit to give the rear axle a much better driveline angle, and added a couple of springs, and a zero rate spring to level the truck out. There is also a new 3 inch body lift. The tires are 39.50 x 16.50- 16.5 Pitbull Rocker tires with approx.100 miles. No, that was not a misprint. The wheels are Mickey Thompson Classic II´s and the size of those are 16.5 x 12. I have built a custom front bumper that is extremely beefy looking without being overly done like a lot of the new bumpers are that cost several thousand dollars. I know I am forgetting tons of stuff, like the brand new billet transfer case adapter from Advance Adapters, the brand new bushwacker cut out fender flares, the brand new ls1 engine mounts from Dirty Dingo Motorsports. The engine mounts I have are the first set built for this body style 4 x 4. They built the mounts they currently sell using my truck for measurements. I have a brand new dark charcoal seat. By new, I mean new. The seat was stripped to bare metal, blasted, painted, new foam, new cloth, and new plastic pieces where the seat belts come through. Now, as far as the truck goes, no it does not run yet, this is still a project that needs finished. There are a lot of little things that still need to be done. If you are not mechanically inclined, this might not be for you. There still needs to be brake lines ran, the truck needs to be wired, painted, glass and interior put back in, the front driveshaft may or may not need to be lengthened. I have had a similar truck with 8 inches of suspension lift before, and the driveshaft was fine, but I have heard of people having to lengthen the front for a 6 inch lift. Anyways, I do have it, along with the rear driveshaft that obviously needs to be shortened. I have a lot of parts that go with this. Everything I have, interior trim pieces, dash pieces, Heater box, A/c stuff, I have almost everything needed. Not new, but I have it. I have both sets of headlight trim pieces, so you can run either the square or the round headlights.I have another cheap set of small 8 lug steel wheels with junk tires to roll the truck around on. Why aren´t there any pictures of all of this? I only know how to post 4 pics on here, so if you are interested, I will be happy to send you all the pics you could possible need, or you are obviously more than welcome to come take a look at it. As far as the price goes, I think the asking price is way beyond fair for what is being offered here. Do the math on the body work alone, and you are there. Throw in new huge tires and rims, lift, rebuilt trans, gear drive transfer case, a 5.3 with a carb set-up, now where are we? With that being said, this is not an O.B.O. advertisement. This is not a must sell, I have simply lost interest in it, and am pursuing other interests. If it doesn´t sell, I will put it in storage until the truck ´bug´ hits me again.
