Details: Chevrolet Tracker 1999 2 door soft top 5 speed 4x4 runds good in decent condition but has a transmission problem. Soft top is good and overall it has some rust, but not too bad, Interior is OK with small issues here and there. 158,000 miles - Does not smoke or drip oil. New battery and starts right up.Bought this last year knowing the transmission had a bad fifth gear. I bought a used transmission and after I put it in it started making a noise that (from reading on the web) probably means it needs a bearing kit. I have the old tranny that worked fine except the fifth gear was bad.Runs and drives fine, just makes noise in all but 4th gear. You can drive it as is or make an off road vehicle out of it. I got 25 MPG all around.Check Engine light comes on and it checks as an O2 sensor. I can reset it and it will stay off for a while, but comes back on and I want to be as honest as I can about this vehicle. Other than that, one back tire leaks a little and the dash light for the speedo doesn´t work (I have a replacement) but that is it.For someone that could take the two trannys and make one, this could be a great little vehicle. The four wheel drive works fine. Performed 100k scheduled maintenance @ 103k (fuel filter, air filter, plugs, new trans and diff fluid). Also took it to the dealer for a multi-point inspection. Driven mostly in winters and for light towing. Put on new front and rear brakes (pads and rotors) @ 113k miles. Regular oil changes.Known Issues:1. E-brake doesn´t work -- Something about the backing plate being rusted.2. Only 1 key and 1 keyless entry remote3. Normal interior / exterior cosmetic wear. See pics. Seat leather is worn in front, but other than that, the interior is flawless. Exterior has some tiny chips, but no rust, and all the paint looks shiny and not faded. Tires are at about 30%.
