Details: I am selling my 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier. My VIN number is 1G1JC5246S7102396. It has about 122,000 miles on it. It has a V4 engine and is automatic drive. It is a great car for parts and/or for a mechanic who can fix car problems easily and who can buy car parts cheaply. I am asking for $700.00 or best offer. Information about the car is below. I bought two new tires (sizes 195-70-14). It has a new starter, a new water pump, a new power steering pump, CV axles, ignition control modules. The alternator and battery are good. The air condition and the heater are above average. There may be slight leakage of the AC compressor. All lights works well. The trunk and the interior of the car are clean. The windows and the door locks are manually operated. The brakes works well (just replace the right and left rear drums). There are several problems with the Chevrolet Cavalier: (a)There are one or two teeth missing in the flywheel. Thus, it gets stuck about once every month (or two) after you turn off the car. I have to put on the brake, put the car in neutral, turn on the ignition, and then rotate the alternator back slightly. Then, the car starts normally. (b)There are slight oil and water leakages. A car dealership says that the heads are linking slightly as one reason. Another known reason (for the oil) is that rear main seals are defective. I have been replacing the oil (about one quart per month or two). I have been tipping off the radiator about every two weeks or three (about 48 ounces of water). (c)There is a problem of the car stalling momentarily after it has been driven for some miles. I would drive the car for a while. Eventually when it came to a stop, the car would stall when I placed it in drive (while the engine operates normally). After about 5 minutes, the car would go forward for a while. At first, a car dealership changed out the EGR valve and that solved the problem for about ten months. Then, it started doing the same problem. A car dealership believes that the torque converter (a main part of the transmission) may be going bad. Thus, I only the drive the car (about eight miles) when I am going to work and park it for several hours. The car works fine also when I am just going to stores in my neighborhood. Driving it for a long time will cause it to begin stalling until the it cools down significantly. (d) There is a thumping sound when the car goes right. A car dealership says that the rods may need replacing. However, the car has been riding well in spite of this problem.
